“A TASTE OF THE GRAPE”, an annual fundraiser for mobility related projects benefiting those with spinal cord injury, was held at Royal Palm Place on November 6, 2007. Hosted by THE RUSTIC CELLAR WINE CAFÉ (Boca Raton, FL) AND SELECTED BRAND WINES, the event hosted over four hundred patrons who savored delicacies, the finest of wines and live music. With your continued support and our dedication to Doug’s dream we intend on transforming this annual fundraising event into a major endeavor in 2008.
With your contributions and dedication we were able to raise over $52,000 in 2007 for these projects. As you can imagine recipients have repeatedly extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation for their grants.
We have many applications for our first quarter funding. As you know, we never just send out a check. There is a lot of time and effort into each funding application we receive. We require the applicants to send quotes from reputable equipment companies, auto dealers, contractors or any other source they may have. We verify all the information on their applications and then after they have met the necessary criteria, our Board of Directors select those that we can fund and we work directly with the selected company or contractor to complete the project. We never put your donations at risk.
